PACK THERAPY

Foundation - Sit, Down, Come, Stay, Heel and Place (Boundary Stay) are the basic commands used. These commands set the foundation for any training that will follow, be it Agility, Schutzhund or just a great companion. I will show you how to teach these commands to your dog using Positive reinforcement. Once your dog learns the commands, we will start adding the 3 D's: Distance, Duration and Distractions, to help proof your dog for any situations.

Puppy - Early imprinting sets your puppy up for success as an adult. I keep the puppy training sessions short and fun. I will show you how to keep your puppy's attention on you through distractions. I use clickers to teach your puppy to think on it's own and make choices. Correct choices are rewarded with food, or toy.  If you are having troubles house or crate training your puppy, I can help!

Behavior Modification - If your dog is displaying problem behavior such as aggression, fear issues, destruction of home or property, seperation anxiety, etc. Give me a call. I will evaluate your dog and together we will develop a training program that fits your needs and goals. Since the temperament of the dog is already set, many times unwanted behaviors cannot be corrected, but through training and management, these issues can be controlled.  Giving your dog the balance it needs, and putting you in charge of the relationship.

Canine Good Citizen - I can help you get your dog ready to pass this 10 step prorgam offered by the AKC. As an evaluator, I can test your dog also. I do need at least for dogs to be able to hold a test. Upon passing, your dog will receive a certificate from the AKC.

Advanced/Competitive Obedience & Rally - Whether you want a dog that is more advanced or you are looking to compete in Obedience, I can help you obtain these goals. Or maybe you would like to do some Rally Obedience, the new and fun, form of Obedience. Rally isn't as strict and it is a great way to build on the relationship you have with your dog. Agility - COMING SOON. Until I get my equipment set and ready, I can help you prepare your dog for agility. I train my own dogs with Clicker and/or toys. I first build their drive and teach them the basic commands needed. A lot of the foundation for agility training can be done without the equipment.

Conformation - Do you have a dog you would like to show in Conformation? Let me know, I can show you how to get your dog ready. From conditioning to stacking.

Clicker Training & Tricks- Clicker training can be a lot of fun and your can train dogs to do about kind of behavior with one. Clickers can be confusing and a little difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it, the possibilies are endless. So if you want to have fun and teach your dog with a Clicker, look me up.

Puppy/Litter Evaluations - If you are a breeder and you would like your puppies evaluated to help match them with their perfect home, call me and I will come to you. Or, if you are looking at purchasing a puppy and you need help decided on which one matches you, I do that also. I will match a puppy with your lifestyle and what your goals are for that pup. Be it a top competitor in sport, or work, or just a family puppy. The best age to evaluate puppies is right at 49 days (7 weeks).

Defensive Handling & Bite Prevention - Humane Societies, Animal Shelters, Veterinarians and even Boarding Facilities handle dogs everyday. All dogs have the potential to bite when put in a situation where they feel threatened or challenged. I will put together a Safety packet and do a demo on how to properly approach an unknown or uncertain dog. By teaching employees how to correctly handle difficult dogs, will lessen their chances of being bitten. Children, delivery and courier personal should all learn how to properly approach or react when a dog approaches. Dogs read body language and the slightest wrong move on the humans part can result in a bite or worse.

Temperament Evaluations for Shelter Dogs - I will come at no charge to local humane societies or animal shelters and evaluate dogs. This will help shelter staff determine which homes are suitable for certain dogs.
