German Shepherds & Sabre

Mecca CGC - is my 11.5 year old GSD. She has been with me for 10 years and has been a great dog. She has her CGC, but has never done anything other than be a good companion. She hangs around and helps me keep the pack in order. Mecca has really slowed down in the years, mostly because she is a GSD and they have many many health problems due to bad breeders producing so many. Mecca has lumbar sacral stenosis, her spine started narrowing when she was only 6 years old. She also has Pannus in her eyes. Even though she is a huge part of the pack, she doesn't get to go on as many outtings anymore with the others. It's getting to be too hard on her :) RETIRED

SIR HANS - A 5 year old GSD that I rescued from Euthansia at TCA. His problem, he was a spook. Afraid of everything and anything. After a few months of living with the Pack and building up his confidence with Protection Training and Play, Hans has turned into an awesome dog. His jobs now include, running next to my bike and helping other fearful dogs come out of their shells.  Recently, I strapped a cart to Hans and after only 3 lessons, entered him and Raven in the local fair parade. Hans was awesome! He pulled the cart like a pro, I had several people come up and tell me how well behaved my dogs were.  At the park afterwards, several people came over to take photos and pet the dogs. Hans acted like he had done this his whole life.  The dogs took first place in the parade and a cash prize of $25. Don't always judge a book by it's cover, in Han's case, a dog by the situation that it is in. Member of the Performing K9s

SABRE VON ISHMEL- born 8/15/08 .  Sabre is a huge part of my pack. He will also be a large part of my crowd pleasing demos, so early socializing with this little man is a must. If you live in the Cedaredge/Delta area, look for us out and about and come on over to say hi. Sabre needs to meet as many people as possible. He has gone to work with me at the Vet clinic a few times already. Except he keeps jumping on the counter!! Sabre is already learning a lot of great things. He knows where the door handle is, just can't figure out how to open it!! IN TRAINING

MAYA MIA- is Sabre's sister. Maya is not quite as wolfy acting as her brother. She is more settled and eager to please. Maya has been trying to assert some dominance amoungst the females in the pack and she is learning where she really belongs. Maya and Sabre are almost the same size. They two of them are constantly playing. So training them together is a bit difficult :)
